Being Endangered missing





Global warming and climate change is taking place in the earth's surface is threatened to destroy living things in the world. This is due to poor environmental management by humans.

"Damage to the environment posed no longer comparable with the costs already incurred," said the expert staff of Ministry of Environment Culture and Social Sector Partnerships Dr. Herdri Bastaman, in Denpasar, Tuesday (18/11).

Prevention of global warming made some countries, he said, has cost significantly. Further, he says, the movement together to improve and enhance environmental quality is very urgent to be done by all countries.

International Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Nusa Dua, Bali end of 2007 produced an agreement for all countries to further improve the handling of environmental sustainability. Various efforts have been made in improving environmental quality according to the conditions of each country, said Herdri Bastaman.

Meanwhile, Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika in a written speech read by the Head of Environmental Impact Management Agency of Bali Province Drs said I Gde Wardana, Bali has a forest area 130,686 hectares or 22.59 percent of the land area of Bali.

These forests are nearly 40 percent in a damaged condition and critical. These conditions resulted in flooding and landslides during the rainy season.

All that needs attention, care and handling of all parties so that environmental damage is not getting worse, please Governor Pastika.
